U.S. President Joe Biden has overturned a number of former President Trump’s policies since taking office, and the latter has criticized them. Trump also said in a recent interview that Biden is obsessed with making the U.S. military “politically correct” and will only become an international laughing stock.
Trump commented on Biden’s performance on the Podcast program “America First” on Tuesday local time, and was asked by the host how he felt about the U.S. military’s intention to develop body armor designed for women’s bodies and flight suits for pregnant women, etc. He said, “I think the world is laughing at us” and “our politically correct troops are discussing topics that aren’t worth discussing, things that shouldn’t be even just considered.”
Trump said sarcastically, “We’re now an international laughingstock, but they laugh at nothing during my presidency.”
In addition, the transgender service policy, signed by former President Barack Obama in 2016, was ordered by Trump to suspend the recruitment of transgender individuals upon taking office, and the Biden administration announced in late March that transgender individuals who meet military standards would be re-allowed to join the U.S. military.
