A father of seven children in Mississippi had a stroke just three hours after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and is now unable to speak or walk, and may need to spend a year in rehabilitation before he can fully recover. The hospital investigation found that the father had a blood clot in his left cerebral artery, which triggered the stroke.
According to the New York Post, the 43-year-old Malagarie (Brad Malagarie) used his lunch break to get a Johnson & Johnson vaccination one day last week, and then returned to the office less than three hours later in the afternoon, when his colleagues found him unconscious at his desk. After being rushed to the hospital, the hospital determined that Malagarie had a blood clot in his left cerebral artery, thus causing a stroke.
Malagali’s aunt O’Keefe (Celeste Foster O’Keefe) said he had only had problems with high blood pressure before that, and also had all taken medication in control, “I made sure to tell the doctor that he had been injected with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and in my opinion, that’s what caused his stroke.”
Malagali is still in the hospital for treatment, stable but still unable to speak or walk, and may take up to a year for rehabilitation. O’Keeffe said, “He knows who we are, he cries when he sees us, and we want him to at least be able to communicate with us and be able to walk and talk again, even if he can’t do it perfectly.”
The new crown vaccine developed by U.S. medical and pharmaceutical major Johnson & Johnson, which began administering in the United States at the end of February, has been reported to have caused several rare cases of serious blood clots and the death of one woman, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a statement on the 13th local time recommending that states suspend the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
