The Beijing Meteorological Station issued an emergency warning for strong winds, sandstorms and forest fire danger, predicting high winds, accompanied by sand and dust, thunderstorms and cooling temperatures for the next three consecutive days in Beijing.
On Thursday afternoon, a sudden sandstorm, accompanied by rain showers and even thunder and lightning in some areas, blew 8-9 grade winds in Beijing, according to a comprehensive report by the mainland media. The Beijing Meteorological Bureau issued a blue thunder and lightning warning, a yellow strong wind warning, a blue sandstorm warning and an orange forest fire danger warning at 3:36 p.m. on the same day; it also said that Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Beijing, Tianjin and all of Hebei would be affected by hazy weather such as sand or floating dust, and local areas would reach the level of sandstorm; people were asked to stay indoors as much as possible and not to go out.
The Meteorological Bureau also predicts that Beijing will have windy weather from the 15th to the 17th, with gusts of up to 8 or 9, with the maximum wind in the afternoon of the 15th.

It is reported that at 10:00 on Thursday, the Inner Mongolia Meteorological Station issued a blue alert for gale force winds, with an average wind force of 6 to 7 and likely to persist, in central and western Inner Mongolia.
