France and the UK have two different epidemics… What’s behind it? Report a good news

France, which has the highest number of CCP virus infections in Europe, entered its third round of national blockade on April 3, after which the highest daily number of infections reached 60,000 cases, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases to date exceeds 5.1 million, ranking fourth in the world after the United States, India and Brazil.

Britain, also a hard-hit country in Europe, has nearly 4.4 million cumulative infections, ranking second in Europe and sixth in the world. However, the number of infections in Britain has dropped from 380,000 cases per week in January this year to 20,000 cases of the CCP virus per week at present, with an average of less than 3,000 cases per day.

According to the Central News Agency, the number of deaths and confirmed cases in the U.K. dropped significantly from January because of the successful promotion of a vaccination program paired with several blockade measures. According to a BBC report on Monday, 32 million people in the UK have received their first dose of vaccine, while in France, 10 million people have received their first dose. The difference in the number of vaccinations between the two countries, which have comparable populations, is only two times greater than the number of cases of the virus, but the difference is 20 times greater, which should not be explained by the difference in vaccination rates.

There is currently a view in overseas public opinion that the trend of the spread of the virus outside of the Chinese (Communist) Republic is related to the Chinese Communist Party.” A feature article published on the overseas Epoch Times website, “The virus is coming against the Communist Party,” makes it clear that the spread of the epidemic apparently does not depend on the physical distance from the CCP, but only on the closeness of the relationship with the CCP.

If one looks at the epidemic from this perspective, there seems to be a correlation between the direction of the epidemic in the UK and France and the difference in attitude of the two countries towards the CCP in the recent past.

In early February, Ofcom revoked the broadcasting license of China’s official media, China Global Television Network (CGTN), in the UK, leaving the network in danger of losing its entire European market. However, on March 3, the French media authority, the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel, approved CGTN’s application for a broadcasting license, meaning that CGTN can continue to broadcast in Europe, including the UK.

On March 5, Bloomberg broke the news that the “Peace” submarine cable, built by China’s Hengtong Group, will land in France. Huawei, the third largest shareholder of Hentong Group, will provide the submarine transmission and landing receiving station equipment for the cable, which can be implanted with a “back door” for wiretapping.

In addition, at the end of January this year, Huawei announced the construction of a 5G equipment factory in eastern France, becoming Huawei’s first 5G-related factory outside the mainland.

The situation in the UK is very different. After experiencing the ravages of the CCP virus and the CCP atrocities in Hong Kong and Xinjiang, the British public’s view of the CCP has fundamentally changed. 41 percent of respondents to a poll released by the British Foreign Policy Group (BFPG) on February 16 said that the CCP poses a serious threat. On human rights issues, 40 percent of respondents support the British government challenging the CCP’s human rights record. Some analysts say that public perceptions of the CCP in a democracy like the UK will also contribute to the UK government’s tougher policy toward the CCP.

Finally, we have good news for our readers: Regeneron Pharmaceuticals recently released experimental data showing that the company’s antibody cocktail therapy provides 72% and 93% protection against outbreaks in unvaccinated populations during the first and second weeks of diagnosis. Regeneron is applying to the U.S. government for authorization to use this preventive therapy.
