The U.S. Air Force has just released a biennial acquisition report (Biennial Report2019+2020) in which a suspected hypothetical 6th generation fighter appears, with a configuration that is different from the current 5th generation fighters (F-22, F-35).
This report focuses on the strategic planning of the U.S. Air Force, and therefore introduces a considerable number of active aircraft and various weapons, including the F-15, F-15EX, F-35, F-22, or the B-21 bomber under development, the VC-25B presidential aircraft, as well as the B-61 air-delivered nuclear bombs, LRSO air-launched cruise missiles, and so on.
However, the most special is the paragraph of “Next Generation Air Dominance” (Next Generation Air Dominance), there is a different configuration of aircraft from the current warplane, it is flatter in length, has a triangular shape in the top view, and has a pair of V-shaped tail, the air intake is designed above the fuselage, quite like B-2, F-117A, quite rare.

The picture presents this aircraft with highly modular characteristics, the engine and landing gear can be replaced more quickly, saving time for logistics maintenance, and the internal bomb bay can be fitted with a variety of missiles.
The caption does not mention what kind of aircraft this is, but only says in general terms that the next-generation air superiority fighter is an integration of a range of functions, including enhanced digital information, agile software development, and open architecture. Reduce the risk of operational experimentation by implementing a shorter technology development cycle. Enhancing aircraft survivability, lethality, and airtime.
