A doctor and four other people were shot and killed in a horrific shooting in South Carolina on Wednesday by Phillip Adams, a 32-year-old former NFL player, who was later found to have shot himself.
CNN reports that York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson said Adams shot two air conditioning technicians Wednesday afternoon, killing one on the spot, and then Adams invaded the home of physician Robert Lesslie (Lesslie) and shot the couple, as well as their two 5 and 9-year-old grandsons. The surviving technician rushed to the police and is now hospitalized for his injuries. The police later found that Adams raised the gun and killed himself.
The newspaper pointed out that the police are still unclear about the motive of Adams’ killing, Adams joined the NFL between 2010 and 2015 and was signed by the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons.
