The Breitbart News reported Friday 9 that the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Shawan began with an email from Hollywood left-wing star Clooney, specifically to Floyd’s family attorney Benjamin Crump, stumping for a response to arguments made by Shawan’s defense attorney. Shawan’s defense attorney argued that it was most likely a drug overdose that led to Floyd’s death, not Shawan’s knee to Floyd’s neck. Crumple said Clooney offered the suggestion that Shovan should voluntarily “have someone knee him in the neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds while lying on the courtroom floor to see if he could survive. “
Crumb attorneys are known for taking on controversial, high-profile cases. Crump appeared on ABC’s “The View” this week to reveal his back and forth with “Midnight Sky” director, producer and star Clooney. Crumb said Clooney is seeking to promote social change, is “very invested in social justice matters” and “believes in his heart that Shovan will be held criminally accountable.
Clooney has continued to be involved in promoting left-wing causes over the years.
