A nurse gives a Johnson& Johnson (abbreviated as J&J) vaccine at a vaccination station in Los Angeles.
The vaccine has brought light to many people in the wake of the Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) pandemic, but it has also brought concern. On Wednesday (April 7), a large Colorado vaccine station was forced to close out of an abundance of caution after 11 people reacted to side effects after receiving Johnson & Johnson products.
The large vaccine station is located at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado. Centura Health, which manages the site, said the vaccine station had to close Wednesday after several people had adverse reactions to Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine against the Chinese communist virus.
The Colorado Department of Public Health said some patients experienced nausea and dizziness after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and Centura further confirmed that nine people were monitored at the site and sent home. Two individuals were transported to nearby hospitals out of an abundance of caution.
In a statement, Centura said, “We followed our protocol and out of an abundance of caution and in cooperation with the state, decided to suspend operations for the remainder of the day.”
Kevin Massey, a spokesman for the company, told local news outlets that more than 600 people were turned away from the “Vaccine for All” event that day because of the vaccine side effects.
“More than 1,700 patients were vaccinated today, and the 640 patients who could not be vaccinated this afternoon will be automatically rescheduled for Sunday, April 11, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.” Centura said, “Our goal is to continue to vaccinate Coloradans as quickly as possible while keeping patient safety a top priority.”
Massey told The Denver Post that the number of people who experience adverse reactions to the vaccination is about 0.8 percent.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a one-dose vaccine against COVID-19, a disease caused by the Chinese communist virus.
In recent weeks, there have been reports of side effects associated with vaccination against the CCP virus. A man in Florida developed a rash after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Prior to Wednesday’s event, the state health department documented 10 cases of “side effects” at community mass vaccination sites in Colorado, the newspaper reported.
Colorado health officials stressed after the vaccine sites were closed that vaccination is “far safer than becoming seriously ill with COVID-19 (a disease caused by the Chinese Communist virus).
European Union health officials issued a similar statement Wednesday. This comes after researchers found a “possible link” between the AstraZeneca vaccine and rare blood clots.
