U.S. trade deficit widens to record $71.1 billion in February

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that the local trade deficit in February expanded by 4.8% to a record $71.1 billion (about HK$554.58 billion), more than the expected $70.5 billion. Among them, exports fell 2.6% to $187.3 billion, imports also fell 0.7% to $258.3 billion, partly reflecting the impact of bad weather delivery.

As for the United States last month, the goods trade deficit increased by about 3% to $ 88 billion, while the services trade surplus fell to $ 16.9 billion, the smallest since 2012.
