The swearing-in ceremony of Montana Republican Greg Gianforte, right, in Washington, D.C., June 21, 2017
Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte (R) tested positive for the Chinese Communist virus (Neocoronavirus) on Monday (April 5) and is undergoing a 10-day quarantine. He just received his first dose of the vaccine last week.
According to ABC FOX Montana, Gianforte’s office announced Monday (April 5) that the Republican governor had tested positive for the virus “out of an abundance of caution” that day. He first showed symptoms of the disease the day before, on Sunday.
The governor’s office said in an announcement that the governor’s close contacts had been informed of the infection. The wife of Montana’s governor has not shown any symptoms related to the Chinese Communist virus. She is currently awaiting the results of her own tests.
Gianforte was sworn in in January and has been undergoing regular virus testing since then.
Most people infected with the CCP virus show only mild to moderate symptoms, if any at all, and are able to recover fully. Nonetheless, the CCP pandemic has killed more than half a million Americans as it has ravaged the world.
Gianforte received his first dose of the vaccine late last week. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, vaccinees are considered fully vaccinated only two weeks after the second vaccination.
