Michigan Chinese Conservative Coalition Launches Asian Rally Calling for Condemnation of Violence – More Against Systemic Discrimination Against Chinese by Political Correctness Calling for Support of Police Enforcement

On the afternoon of April 3rd, in front of the State Capitol in Lansing, Michigan, the Michigan Chinese Conservative Coalition (MICCA) held a rally to stop violence and discrimination against Asian Americans, which was attended and supported by all sectors of Michigan society, including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Middle Eastern and mainstream politicians and citizens. The rally was supported by a wide range of participants from all walks of life in Michigan, including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Middle Eastern politicians and citizens. Nearly two dozen guest speakers took the stage and the event lasted three hours.

The two main leaders of the event were Mr. Gary Yang, President of the Michigan Chinese Conservative Coalition, and Ms. Grace Norris (Chinese), the Republican candidate for State Representative in Lansing, Michigan, who hosted the event.

Mr. Yang gave opening remarks, and he began by condemning the recent period of violent crimes against Asians. He said, “We must acknowledge the fact that violence against Asians exists, but we do not accept that such incidents should be politicized and lead to divisions between ethnic groups. Hate crimes, regardless of the ethnicity of the victim, will not be tolerated. There is white supremacy in America, but the data shows that the vast majority of violent crimes against Asians come from other minorities within major cities, not from the one-sided orientation of the leftist media.”

Young believes it is important to understand where the root causes of these types of incidents are before solutions can be found. “Isn’t the frequency of this type of violence directly related to months of crackdowns and demonization of police enforcement? Isn’t it obvious common sense?”

On the afternoon of April 3, 2021, the Michigan Chinese Conservative Coalition held a rally in the capital city of Lansing to protest violent crimes against Asians and politically correct misinformation of public opinion.

On the afternoon of April 3, 2021, the Michigan Chinese Conservative Coalition held a rally in Lansing to protest violent crimes against Asians and politically correct misinformation.

Mr. Yang called out the fact that Asians are actually systematically discriminated against by “political correctness” in the U.S. in many ways, citing several outrageous reports by leftist media outlets, saying, “For example, MSNBC’s report actually claimed ‘to discuss whether violent assault against Asians is a crime or not, because Asians are privileged. Because Asians are a privileged ethnic group, [recognizing Asians as a minority] would systematically undermine U.S. racial policy.’ And CNN, in addition to claiming that Asians are a privileged ethnic group, complains that Asians are overrepresented in the tech tech industry!”

“We Asian Americans are not asking for any privilege, we are only asking for the same equal rights as all Americans.” Mr. Young’s speech received a round of applause, and he concluded by quoting the famous words of Martin Luther King, Jr., a black American civil rights leader, who urged, “When our children grow up, we want them to be treated for who they are, not the color of their skin!”

Michigan State Senators Jim Runestad (D) and Michael MacDonald (D) took the stage to express their support for the Asian community. MacDonald, who is from MacombCounty, said that his district has a large Asian population, so he came to show his support.

He emphasized his appreciation for the contributions of Asians to American society and praised the achievements of Asian Americans as something they have earned through their hard work (rather than receiving welfare for nothing) – the true American spirit.

He emphasized that he appreciates the contributions of Asians to American society and he praised the achievements of Asian Americans because they got it through their own hard work – that’s the true American spirit.

Ms. Hima Kolanagireddy, an Indian-born entrepreneur who appeared at the hearings in the Michigan 2020 presidential election fraud controversy, also spoke.

She urged: “We Asian students have succeeded because of our hard work, so why should people hate us? Why do people hate us? Just because we study hard and work hard? Why do Ivy League universities discriminate against Asian students for admission? Data shows that 85% of violent crimes against Asians are from African-Americans and 14% from whites including 4% of them from Hispanics, so let’s not be played as props in political games by the leftist media.”

Ms. Hima Kolanagireddy, an entrepreneur of Indian descent, was also present to speak. Ms. Coranagliardi also highlighted that the mob picked Asians to attack because they are small and easy to bully, and because we Asians work harder and have money in our pockets.

She said, “I studied the data on gun ownership in the United States and found that the rate of gun ownership among Asians is almost zero, and the rate of carry permit holders is almost zero, and thugs know that Asians don’t have weapons in their homes or on them to rob easily. Let’s all be armed so we can also reduce violent crime against Asians!”

Ms. Grace Norris, of Chinese descent, a member of the Executive Committee of the InghamCounty, Michigan Republican Party, the first Vice President of the Central Michigan Republican Women’s Club, and a candidate for State Representative in the Lansing District in the 2020 General Election, made the final remarks.

Speaking exclusively to the media, Ms. Norris explained that the discrimination against Chinese in American society comes more from the leftist political parties. She said, “Some Asian communities are also calling for an end to violence, which is true, but we need to look at the root causes of violence and take real action, not just pay lip service to it. When the media enthusiastically hype certain events, we need to analyze them calmly and compare them logically, and not be sold by others to be used as a tool.”

In particular, Ms. Norris warned, “Any society that bases its politics or policies on identity labels or ethnic labels is irrational, and these are the changing names of class struggle.”

She has some words of advice for the integration of Chinese people into American society, especially since there have been some recent arrests of Chinese professionals involved in stealing U.S. business and defense secrets. She said, “When you come to America you have to land and take root, America gives us the opportunity to succeed and we have to understand the basics. As the saying goes, those who came before us planted trees and those who came after us took advantage of them, and those who did so selfishly hurt the immigrants who came after them instead.”

As a reserve member of the 2020 Republican National Convention, she calls for more Chinese to participate in the U.S. vote and in the decisions of American society, which is the right and the responsibility of immigrants.
