Ke Chieh Meng, a 64-year-old Chinese woman from Riverside County, was stabbed by a female hobo while walking her dog early in the morning on Saturday, bleeding profusely from the abdomen. Riverside County police reportedly rushed to the scene on Golden Avenue, north of Stonewall Drive in the La Sierra neighborhood, and rushed the victim to a local hospital, where, unfortunately The woman named Meng died from her injuries.
A short time later, police received a call from a neighbor reporting a woman walking through his yard who appeared suspicious. Police searched the neighborhood and took the woman into custody. She was identified as Darlene Stephanie Montoya, 23, a transient from the city of Monterey Park.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Ms. Montoya was walking with her two small dogs on Golden Avenue at approximately 7:30 a.m. on March 3 when she was randomly attacked by Montoya. During the attack, Ms. Meng was stabbed and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect was arrested by the Riverside Police Department on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, when she attacked a woman with a skateboard on Taylor Street at the 91 Freeway overpass. Police arrested Montoya and took her into custody with a deadly weapon, but she was released on a “Notice to Appear” due to the current emergency bail schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic.
