A fight? U.S. Air Force Reports Russian Forces Disintegrated Over Pacific Ocean With Satellite

The Russian military satellite Kosmos 2525, launched in 2018, has descended from orbit and disintegrated over the Pacific Ocean, according to data published by the U.S. Air Force on the website space-track.org, Rosatom 3 reported.

The spacecraft was launched into orbit in March 2018 by a Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. According to the U.S. military, the Kosmos 2525 satellite entered the Earth’s atmosphere on April 1. The disintegration occurred at about 4:43 GMT over the South Pacific.

So far, Russian authorities have not made any statements about the satellite or its purpose.
