The U.S. media said the man who drove his car into Capitol Hill was Noah Green, a 25-year-old black man who weeks ago said on social media that he was unemployed and ill and that the federal government was trying to put him under mind control.
Less than two hours before the incident, Green had posted on Instagram a clip of a speech by Farrakhan, the leader of the black American organization “Nation of Islam” and an alleged hate-monger, in which he wrote “The U.S. government is the number one enemy of black people. He wrote last week that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was responsible for the “black man’s” speech. He wrote last week that the FBI and CIA had caused him great suffering and that he believed Farrakhan had saved him. He cited multiple burglaries of his apartment, food poisoning, assaults and mind control in hospitals.
Green was born in West Virginia and graduated in 2019 with a degree in finance from the University of Newport, Christopher, Virginia, where he has a V.I. license plate. He refers to the past few years as very difficult and the biggest, unimaginable ordeal of his life on social media. He refers to leaving his job due to illness and joining the ranks of the unemployed, but ultimately looking for a spiritual journey.
