A statement by Swedish company H&M last year refusing to use Xinjiang cotton has been rehashed by the Communist Party’s affiliated organization, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and has set off a wave of boycotts in China, affecting international fashion brands such as Nike, Adidas and UNIQLO.

At a regular press conference of the Chinese Foreign Ministry on March 30, a reporter from Bloomberg asked whether the fact that Chinese anger against H&M seems to have subsided means that the Communist government has changed its attitude on the issue. The response was that China’s 1.4 billion people “have their own heads” to express their ideas.

Hua Chunying has repeatedly given harsh words to the public on related issues. A netizen shared on Twitter a photo of Hua Chunying participating in the “Public Servant Cup” tennis team competition of the central state organs in 2018, when the Chinese Communist Party strongly touted that Hua Chunying had never received systematic training in tennis and that her “level was constantly improving”.

Netizens found that the racket Hua Chunying is holding is the highest market share of the American brand “Wilson”, the jersey has three lines suspected by adidas sponsorship, the shoes in the photo is not clear. Some netizens mocked, female war wolf sneakers how to look like China’s “Li Ning brand”, but also hard mouth boycott foreign goods? The body is honest enough, look at this action!

Some netizens also flirted with the suggestion that H&M T-shirts printed with “Chinese people do not eat this”, Nike shoes embroidered with “road confidence”, Adidas sweatshirts sprayed with “the country’s big view of the world “, see how the size of the pink boycott? Boycott this goods, prevent that disaster, the most important is to boycott stupid goods, prevent human disaster!

On March 22, the European Union and more than 30 countries, including the United States, Britain and Canada, imposed sanctions on Chinese Communist Party officials involved in persecution of human rights.

Starting with the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, official CCP media, including CCTV and People’s Daily, all launched an all-round attack on H&M at the same time, which later spread to internationally renowned fashion brands such as Nike.

On March 24, Hua Chunying criticized the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance formed by the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand at a regular press conference, just like the “Eight-Power Allied Forces” in the late Qing Dynasty, and claimed that the Chinese Communist Party is no longer the same as it was in the past and cannot be messed with!

Hua Chunying claimed at a press conference on the 25th that there is no “forced labor” in Xinjiang, and took a photo of a 19th century U.S. black slave prisoner as a comparison, implying that U.S. black slaves are not qualified to criticize the CCP’s human rights issues in Xinjiang.

The U.S. media Newsweek revealed that the black-and-white photo cited by Hua Chunying was not a 19th-century image of American black slaves picking cotton, but a 20th-century photo of Texas prison inmates taken by photographer Danny Lyon, which had nothing to do with the black slavery system.
