According to the Zhangjiagang vaccination program, the “general requirements” for the implementation of vaccination are guided by “Xi Jinping‘s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era”; the “work objectives” are based on The “work objective” is to promote the CCP virus vaccination step by step according to the unified arrangement of the CCP state, province and Suzhou city. The program has a daily vaccination target of “18,362 doses per day in April,” with responsibilities assigned to specific units and officials.
The program calls for the completion of the first dose of vaccination for 572,000 people (covering 40% of the resident population) in the city by the end of April 2021. The focus will be on covering people aged 18 to 59 who are at high risk of infection, such as front-line workers in inbound transit and those who travel abroad on official or private business.
People who provide services directly to the public and other people who maintain the basic operation of society, such as public security and firefighters; people in key positions to ensure the supply of basic living materials; people in the service industry.
People in labor-intensive industries; school staff and students in higher Education institutions, as well as some people over 60 years old who need vaccination for special reasons and are in good health.
The vaccination rate for the above-mentioned groups must reach 85% or more.
The program also calls for “strengthening publicity and guidance” and enhancing public opinion control and risk communication.
The program issued by the Zhangjiagang City Epidemic Prevention and Control Command shows that the CCP’s universal vaccination campaign has become a political requirement and a political movement.
