On March 29, the Qinghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles issued an announcement on its official website that Wang Xiaoli, president of the Qinghai Art Association, had been suspended from her duties for inspection.

Wang Xiaoli copied a large number of paintings from others, which was recently exposed on the Internet. In the article, several paintings of the two were compared together, and their paintings were almost identical except for the inscriptions and tones. Some netizens commented, “This is not plagiarism, it is clearly a copy.”

The article sparked public attention, and on March 26, Red Star News published an apology letter from Wang Xiaoli, who claimed that due to her own vanity and fluke mentality, the plagiarized work flowed to society, causing great harm to Mr. Ma Hansong and apologized.
