The virtual house, called Mars House, designed by Kirsten Kim in May 2020, is the world’s first digital NFT (non-homogenized token) Home and was recently sold for $514,557.79.
The “Mars House” reportedly appears to be located on top of a mountain on Mars, and the house and all its jewel-like furnishings are made of translucent tempered glass.
As for when humans will be able to land on Mars, Elon Musk, chief executive officer (CEO) of the U.S. space exploration technology company SpaceX, said earlier this year in February that SpaceX will send humans to Mars in five and a half years, that is, before 2026. To achieve this goal, the company is building interstellar spacecraft.
Previously, Musk had revealed that the company plans to build 1,000 interstellar spaceships in the next 10 years. He estimated that it would take about nine years to send one million people to Mars.
