The number of new cases in the U.S., which has been on the rise lately, the CDC director warned of a possible fourth wave of virus outbreaks in the U.S. at an outbreak briefing on Monday, saying emotionally that she is scared of the current situation.

Cases jump 65% in a week as Variant virus spreads rapidly across the U.S.
The CDC reported on the evening of the 28th that within the United States, 10,985 cases of infection with three variants of the virus – British, South African and Brazilian – have now been identified, a 65 percent increase from a week ago, 96 percent of which were the earliest variants originating in the United Kingdom (B.1.1.7).
According to the outbreak data released by the New York Governor’s Office, 184,530 people were tested in New York State on March 28, with 7,622 confirmed cases, a confirmation rate of 4.13%, a 7-day average confirmation rate of 3.46%, 4,575 people hospitalized, and 57 new deaths.

In New York City, the current average infection rate is 6.19%, with 10 zip code areas having an infection rate of over 10%. The Chinese community of Flushing, Queens, where the 11355 area is located, has an infection rate of 12.01%, climbing again to the first place in the city, while the 11220 community in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is in third place with 11.77%.
New York State Eases Vaccine Age Limit for Those 30 and Older
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on the 29th that the age of residents eligible for vaccination will be lowered to 30 years old, effective the 30th, and said that the age of administration can be relaxed to 16 years old starting on April 6th.
