The Truth Project reports that Trump congratulated the Truth Project and O’Keefe on their “big win” in their defamation lawsuit against the New York Times. The public is expected to contribute to the legal defense fund.
James O’Keefe of Project Veritas visited President Trump at his Sea Lake estate on the 23rd.
The two sat down to discuss Project Veritas’ recent lawsuit against the New York Times for defamation.
In a brief video, President Trump congratulated O’Keefe and his team as a New York State Supreme Court judge ruled in favor of the Truth Project.
The ruling represents a major legal victory that will allow the Truth Project and O’Keefe to overturn the reporting of members of The New York Times, including executive editor Dean Baquet and reporter Maggie Astor, who was accused of writing false statements.
President Trump concluded by encouraging the public to contribute to the Truth Project’s legal defense fund to help advance the lawsuit and expose the truth.
President Trump said, “I want to congratulate the Truth Project on their big win on the New York Times [lawsuit], and now the lawsuit will continue, and whatever you can do for their legal defense fund, we will always support them.” He said.
Trump ended the meeting by praising O’Keefe and The Truth Project as unique.
“They’ve done incredible work, they’ve found incredible things,” Trump said, “so James, congratulations.”
