Yu Maochun: Chinese Communist Party Trying to Sow Ties Between Democrats and Republicans
Yu Maochun, chief China Policy adviser to the State Department in the Trump administration, said in an interview with Epoch Times that the Chinese Communist Party is trying to sow discord between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.
Yu said, “It [the Chinese Communist Party] is absolutely trying to sow differences between the Republican and Democratic parties in terms of their policies on China. Let’s not fall for its trick. I think the reason why this Chinese Communist Party is showing a very annoyed look now is that it sees that the American people nationwide, no matter which party it is, have a renewed understanding of the Chinese Communist Party.”
Yu Maochun said that the Beijing authorities need to stop persecuting human rights and other vicious acts if they want the United States to change its policy toward China.
“It requires the Chinese government to make critical, qualitative, changes in behavior, to stop persecuting the people of Xinjiang, to stop persecuting religious people, including Falun Gong people, to stop infringing on human rights freedoms and a high degree of autonomy in Hong Kong, to stop threatening Taiwan, and to stop engaging in some very immoral business and trade practices in the world. “

The Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act has the following five implications.

- requires the State Department to provide annual reports on the training of organ transplant surgeons provided by U.S. agencies to foreign institutions involved in the harvesting of human organs.
- prohibits the export of organ transplant surgical equipment to entities involved in the forcible harvesting of human organs.
- Impose sanctions on foreign officials and entities that participate in or support forced organ harvesting.
Edwin J. Feulner, president and acting CEO of the Washington-based organization Victims of Communism (VOC), said, “Our organization’s research shows that the Chinese Communist Party’s systematic practice of forced organ harvesting is shocking, evil and unprecedented. The scale of the evil is unprecedented. The United States must act to examine, condemn and help stop these flagrant human rights violations.”

California-based Seagate is suspected of improperly selling hard drives containing export-controlled microchips to Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies after the Commerce Department strengthened its restrictive order last August, the Washington Times said Tuesday (March 23), citing two sources familiar with the investigation. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which oversees export control compliance, is investigating whether hard drive maker Seagate Technology violated the U.S. ban on the Chinese Communist Party.
The Bureau of Industry and Security issued a notice last August that the new curbs prohibit Huawei or its affiliates from purchasing “foreign-made chips developed or produced abroad based on U.S. software or technology to the same extent as similar chips in the United States,” the Epoch Times reported. The regulation means that the United States prohibits the supply of most technology products to Huawei.
