On Monday (March 22) former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (R) announced on Fox News that he will run for the U.S. Senate in Missouri!
Missouri’s Republican U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (R) announced on March 8 that he will not seek re-election in 2022. Trump allies immediately rallied around former Missouri Gov. Greitens, urging him to run for the vacant Senate seat.
Greitens has appeared on Missouri radio, Newsmax, Bannon’s “War Room” and Seb Gorka’s radio show in the past 48 hours.
Greitens said he was inspired by the tremendous support of grassroots voters across Missouri. Voters will support candidates who are “willing to stand up, especially to stand up to the leftist lunacy that we see.
President Trump won Missouri by 57 percent in 2020 and 56 percent in 2016, and former Governor Greitens has become one of Trump’s most prominent defenders over the past few months, as running in the Republican primary in the upcoming election cycle requires candidates to be substantially Trumpian in nature.
Now, establishment politicians are also seeing that the political landscape is shifting under Trump’s leadership.
