Rape of two girls under 10 years old, illegal immigrant wanted in Arkansas, shot dead by Texas police

The Gateway Pundit reports that a suspected child rapist wanted on 11 felony counts in Arkansas was shot and killed on the spot by police after a traffic stop in Arlington, Texas, this week, where the wanted man pointed a gun at officers.

Arlington, Texas, police said Friday on Twitter that officers pulled their duty guns and struck the suspect, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear why the suspect, wanted in Arkansas, was in Arlington. We are thankful that no innocent community members or police officers were injured. The case will be turned over to Tarrant County (TCC).

The suspect, Juan Jimenez-Salas, 46, is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. Scott Harwell of the El Dorado (Arkansas) Police Department told Fox 4, “About 20 years ago, Salas was arrested on felony charges similar to what he is now and was later deported back to Mexico.”

According to Fox 4, Salas is wanted on five felony counts of rape and six felony counts of child molestation, all of which involve two young girls, both under the age of 10, who were Salas’ girlfriends in Arkansas.

Authorities have been looking for Salas since November, when the victim girls’ father in North Texas told police he believed Salas had been raping his children, Javier told Fox 4. The girls had reportedly told their father that they were raped in a hotel room in McKinney, Texas, while their mother was traveling with the suspect.

On Thursday, a task force from the U.S. Marshal’s Office, tracked Salas to North Texas. Arlington police then spotted the suspect’s vehicle and pulled him over for a traffic violation. The suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at an Arlington police officer who was working with the U.S. Marshal’s Office, and the officer managed to defend himself, killing Salas.
