Netizens Turn Up Yang Jiechi’s Daughter to Stay in the U.S. Wang Yi Had Exposed Him

Yang Jiechi, the top official in charge of foreign affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and Foreign Minister Wang Yi staged an “anti-U.S. show” in Alaska. Yang Jiechi’s long series of self-talk and Time-out “counterattacks” during the U.S.-China dialogue were highly praised by the Chinese Communist Party‘s official media, and fueled a new wave of anti-U.S. sentiment among domestic pinkies. However, Yang Jiechi’s own scandals have also been brought up by netizens.

On March 20, the Twitter account “Chen Tang Guan” posted: “Yang Jiechi and Wang Yi acted in Alaska, making a show to create anti-American fireworks for domestic fans to see. The Hong Kong media broke the news that the Chinese Communist Party’s diplomatic system has a mountain of factions. The North II foreign faction, led by Wang Yi, had reported to the Central Political Bureau that Yang Jiechi was not doing his job, neglecting his duties and watching Western movies and TV videos, both romance and pornography, in his office.”

Checking the web, I found that the news was originally published in the April 2018 issue of Hong Kong’s Outpost, in which it was revealed that there is a mountain of factions in the Chinese Communist Party’s diplomatic system. The big factions include the Beiwai (Beijing Foreign Studies University) faction, Beijiwai (Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute) faction, Beiyue (Beijing Language and Culture University) faction, Shangwai (Shanghai Foreign Studies University) faction, Foreign Affairs Institute faction, Guoguan (Institute of International Relations) faction, Beida (Peking University) faction, and Fudan (Fudan University) faction, and there are even more smaller factions. Each faction fights with each other.

Among them, the North Second Foreign School, led by Wang Yi, wrote a letter to the Politburo of the Central Committee, exposing that Yang Jiechi’s doctorate degree in history was a fake, saying that Yang had studied in the Department of History of Nanjing University as an on-the-job graduate student in world history, which was extremely watery, and also reported to the Politburo that Yang was not doing his job, neglecting his duties, and watching Western movies and TV videos in his office, including romance and pornography.

Wang Yi was also reported to have a fake degree. He was reported that his master’s degree in economics from Nankai University and doctorate in international relations from the Foreign Affairs Institute were fake, and that his so-called on-the-job study and distance learning had not been studied systematically and comprehensively and seriously, but only that he had used his authority (the Foreign Affairs Institute belongs to the subordinate unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to take advantage of his position by trickery, and so on.

Wang Yi was accused of taking care of his way to the top by nepotism in his early years. Wang is said to be half of the second generation of Reds, and his father-in-law Qian Jiadong, a career diplomat, served as Zhou Enlai’s foreign affairs secretary. In February 2001, Wang Yi was promoted to vice minister in charge of Asian affairs, becoming the youngest vice minister in the Foreign Ministry at the time, but other factions thought Wang Yi was relying on his father-in-law’s patronage and were not convinced of his promotion.

In addition, on March 19, tweeter “Hill” also revealed that Yang Jiechi was verbally anti-American, but his daughter was sent to the U.S. for college and won a full scholarship. The tweet said, “A young lady named Yang Jiale, a daughter of a party country, got into Yale University in the United States and received a full scholarship. As a foreigner, it’s harder to get a full scholarship to Yale than to get to the top. And her high school was also the most expensive private school in Sidwell. This girl is so lucky, just because she has a good father – Yang Jiechi, a Chinese Communist Party official.”

One netizen said, “I just want to confirm if this is true?”

A netizen then turned to an overseas media report titled “Yang Jiechi’s daughter grows up to be Yang Jiale’s full scholarship to Yale”.

Yang Jiechi, who was once the foreign minister of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and later became the state councilor and director of the foreign affairs office of the CPC Central Committee, was originally a member of Jiang Zemin’s faction and had negative rumors in his early years.

As reported in the January 2014 issue of the Hong Kong media magazine Controversy, Yang Jiechi had made a malfeasance inspection to the CPC Central Committee, admitting that he had allowed corruption to occur during his term of office, that violations had continued to occur, and that the department’s party discipline and political discipline were lax and its style was corrupt, and he proposed to take the blame and resign.

However, as Xi Jinping‘s foreign expansion has increased in recent years, Yang Jiechi has regained his position by showing his loyalty to the CPC as it has been engaged in rogue diplomacy.
