The Breitbart News reports that Asian-Americans are flocking to gun stores to arm themselves in the face of rising anti-Asian hate crimes.
Jimmy Gong, owner of the Village Mineola sports store on Long Island, New York, was interviewed by Forbes. Gong said, “More Asians are coming in to buy guns, and there was never a gun Culture in the Asian community in the past. But after the Epidemic and all the hate crimes that have happened, there are more Asians buying guns to protect themselves.”
Gong noted that his business has doubled in the era of the CCP virus and that half of his customer base is Asian American.
Forbes noted that a survey by the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino The results show that “hate crimes against Asian Americans jumped 149 percent in 2020 against the backdrop of a 7 percent decline in overall hate crimes. “
Last March the Breitbart News reported that Asian-Americans, fearing they would be targeted by angry people because of the spread of the virus by the Chinese Communist Party, were buying guns to protect themselves, leading to a surge in gun sales in California. One resident, surnamed Lin, said he had just bought a gun for his wife and that he feared the CCP virus would eventually lead to social unrest.
Commentators believe that the CCP is spinning the virus; not only is it bringing down the Chinese, but even Asians are following.
