Trump said in the teleconnection interview that he and Mexican President Lopez Obrador have developed a “great relationship” and share a common interest in controlling illegal immigration and building an effective border wall.

“Lopez Obrador is a great gentleman. We have a great relationship. They had 28,000 soldiers stationed on the border while we were building the wall… And they were also stationed in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala,” he said.

Trump said, “Today, immigrants are pouring in. A lot of people are coming from foreign countries. I see a lot of people coming from Yemen, coming from the Middle East. They’re coming from anywhere.” “They’re pouring into our country. It’s a shame,” and “If we don’t do anything, they will destroy our country.”

“Frankly, our country cannot cope (with the increase in immigration). This is a crisis that we have rarely, and certainly never, had on our borders. But it’s about to get a lot worse.”

In the interview, Bartiromo asked the former president if he would advise his supporters to volunteer for the coronavirus vaccine, noting that a significant number of Republicans oppose the shot.

“I would.” Trump responded. “I would recommend it, I would recommend it to a lot of people who don’t want the vaccine, a lot of people who frankly voted for me,” before saying that this premise must be based on the idea that the population is free to choose, “that we still have the freedom that we have to rely on it in our lives, and I agree with that. But a vaccine is a good vaccine, a safe vaccine, and it works.”

Trump said pharmaceutical companies and the FDA have been working “around the clock” to develop various vaccines.

Trump also slammed Biden and Democrats in the interview as the new president’s executive order slashed U.S. energy production and transportation, with gasoline prices rising by nearly $1 or more.

“We used to be able to be energy independent, and when I look at what’s happening, I see gas prices going up much faster than anything that’s happened in a long Time. We have very low gas prices, but we have more jobs in the energy industry than has ever been the case,” Trump said.

Trump said that while Biden and his party are seeking significant tax increases, the spike in gasoline prices has now created an even heavier “tax.

“When you look at it, they’re going to go up $1, $2, $3, respectively, which is a bigger tax increase than the tax increase on consumers,” he said. “Making every $1 increase in the price of gasoline, that would be a bigger increase than a significant tax increase. So that’s a terrible thing to do.”

Trump predicted that Democrats would raise taxes to “the highest number we’ve ever seen” and would have a “devastating” impact on the economy.
