“Every poll shows that people want me to run again, but we’ll see, we’ll see what happens,” he told Fox, “and as a first step, we have to see what we can do with the House. I think we have a very, very good chance of taking back the House.”
Trump said he believes Republicans have a chance to take back the Senate as long as they build “better leadership.
He said, “Frankly, we’ll make a decision (on whether to run) after that.”
Trump explained that while Biden has so far undermined America’s energy independence and border security, Republicans will be able to be optimistic about the future once voters take into account his previous record as president.
“Add it all up and I think we’ll do well in two years, and I think we’ll do well in four years.”
Democrats are pushing the election reform bill H.R. 1, the For the People Act, which has sparked alarm among Republicans because of the bill’s extremely drastic liberalization of mail-in ballot access and reduction in voter ID checks. Trump said Tuesday that the bill would be “a disaster for our country. He said that if the legislation passes into law, Republicans will have a “very hard Time” getting elected in the future.
He said “that would be very unfair” and that “Democrats are using the Epidemic to do things that are unbelievable” and that “they will do what they did in the 2020 election, or worse. “
He said, “The fact is, Republicans should not have lost the previous Georgia Senate race and presidential election” and “our Supreme Court and our courts did not have the courage to overturn the election that should have been overturned.”
According to Trump, “they made many changes on the fly before the election was about to begin,” and “the state legislatures did not approve those changes. Therefore, it should not have been allowed (but the court did not stop it),” and that “the Supreme Court needs to be ashamed of what it did.”
