Israel to be hit by 2,000 rockets a day? Warns “an unprecedentedly powerful army will be activated”

According to The Jerusalem Post, an IDF general said Israel would be attacked by 2,000 rockets and missiles every day in a future war with Hezbollah. “If needed, we will activate an unprecedentedly powerful army,” he warned.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Major General Uri Gordin of Israel’s Interior Ministry Command warned Monday that Israel could come under attack from 2,000 rockets and missiles every day in a future war with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Speaking at the B’ Sheva conference in Jerusalem, Gordin said some 2,000 rockets and missiles will be fired at Israel every day and will challenge Israel’s military and civil defense capabilities.

“The enemy on different fronts needs to know that we will activate an unprecedentedly powerful army if needed,” Goldin said.

He added that Israel’s enemies should know that the Israeli Home front is resilient and has proven itself in the past.

“They know they cannot defeat us on the battlefield, so they are trying to move the war to a second front, which is our homes and cities,” he said.

Israel believes Hezbollah has an arsenal of some 150,000 rockets and missiles, some of which have the capability to strike anywhere inside Israel.
