Breitbart News reports that author Peter Schweizer warns that Chinese influence on the U.S. government is a “huge problem.”
On this week’s edition of “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News, senior Breitbart News contributor and author Peter Schweizer warned that the Chinese Communist Party will interfere with the U.S. government after Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was reappointed to the House Intelligence Committee. The Chinese Communist Party will intervene in U.S. politics following the reappointment of Congressman Eric Swalwell to the House Intelligence Committee.
Swalwell has recently been reported to have close ties to Fang Fang, a Chinese Communist spy.
Schweitzer said the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence the United States. He believes this is a “huge problem” because “there are a lot of people in Washington” who are “profiting from their ambiguous relationship with Beijing.
If you’re going to compete with the U.S., why not try to effectively decapitate some of the leadership by recruiting them,” Schweitzer said. You can absorb that the old-fashioned Cold War way, you know, the pornographic beauty ploy, so to speak; you can also give them sweetheart business deals by enriching their families, and the Communist Party has more money to do that than the Soviet Union,” “so that’s a huge problem. We can challenge, or we can get ahead of the Chinese (Communist) state. We can even work to make potential reforms to the Chinese (Communist) state, but that takes leadership and hard decisions, and there are a lot of people in Washington who don’t want to make those hard decisions because they’ve made a lot of money by having an ambiguous relationship with Beijing ,”
Schweitzer believes that both the Republican and Democratic leaderships are profiting from the CCP.
“It’s extremely disturbing and you can’t ignore it,” he asserted.
