President Tsai Ing-wen today (14) attended an event in Taiwan‘s traditional Chinese Medicine sector, said that in response to the Chinese Communist virus (Covid-19) Taiwan’s traditional Chinese medicine sector developed the “Qingguan No. 1”, began to sell in Europe and the United States, once again let the world see Taiwan, and the post-Epidemic era, including Chinese medicine, looking forward to the global traditional medicine will be more This is Taiwan’s opportunity, and it is also where Taiwan’s self-confidence lies.
Tsai Ing-wen attended the 91st National Medical Festival in Taiwan this Sunday morning. In her speech, she said that she would participate in the National Medical Festival celebration every year because the contribution of the TCM sector to Taiwan is evident to all. She pointed out that since the outbreak of the epidemic last year, Taiwan’s combined treatment model of Chinese and Western medicine has received attention from the medical community at Home and abroad. Taiwan has also developed “Qingguan No. 1”, which is now being sold in Europe and the United States after Taiwan’s pharmaceutical companies have been authorized to manufacture it, allowing the world to see Taiwan once again.
Tsai Ing-wen said that such good results are attributed to the Chinese medicine industry’s unremitting efforts and profound research over the years, thus accumulating the strength and energy of research and development. Taiwan’s medical sector has also gradually matured in the implementation of the dual management of Chinese and Western medicine care system, the Executive Yuan has approved a five-year plan for the development of Chinese medicine, the continued implementation of Chinese medicine training, the deployment of Chinese medicine care resources and so on.
Tsai also promised that the government of the Republic of China will work together with the Chinese medicine community to bring the development of Chinese medicine to a new milestone.
Looking ahead to the post-epidemic era, Tsai said that TCM has many advantages, whether it is industrial competitiveness, Chinese medicine research and development and manufacturing, and has the strength to develop international business opportunities, and then strive for new southward opportunities.
Finally, Tsai said she will continue to ask national policy advisor and chairman of the All-China Federation of Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association Ke Fu-yang to convey the suggestions of the TCM community so that the government’s regulations will become more and more perfect and so that everyone can work together to grasp the new demands for medical care at home and abroad.
