On Wednesday, President Trump issued a statement urging his old fat friend and former NFL standout Herschel Walker to run for the U.S. Senate in Joe.
President Trump wrote, “Wouldn’t it be great if the legendary Walker could run for U.S. Senate in Joe? Walker would be unstoppable, just as he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs and in the NFL, and Walker is a great man. Run, Walker, run!”
The Gateway Pundit believes that Walker would be an excellent candidate for U.S. Senate and posted a great speech Walker gave for his old friend Trump at the 2020 Republican National Convention.
In the video, Walker said, “I’ve known Trump for 37 years and have a deep personal friendship with each other. When I was a player for the New Jersey Generals, Trump was the owner of the team, learning the history of the team, learning every detail about the players and coaches, and then using what he learned to make improvements to the team.”
Walker said Trump is a Family-first guy, “In important meetings, if Trump’s kids call, Trump answers the phone right away.”
Walker added, “Trump treats janitors, security and waiters the same way he treats VIPs. Trump wants the staff to feel comfortable because Trump knows that it’s the people who work that keep America running. They clean, they cook, they build, they drive, they deliver.”
Some have called Trump a racist, a label Walker took as an insult, explaining, “If people think I’m going to have a 37-year friendship with a racist, well, that person really doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I grew up in the South where racism was around all the Time, and I know what racism is.”
Walker added, “Trump’s call for the immediate dismissal of players who refuse to stand during the playing of the national anthem is a sign that Trump respects the American flag and the national anthem, and it doesn’t follow that Trump doesn’t care about social justice. I care about social justice, and so does Trump, who has been fighting to improve the lives of black Americans and all Americans. He works night and day and never stops.”
Walker concluded by emphasizing, “President Trump is my president, and I am honored to call President Trump a friend.”
