The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday (12) blacklisted five Chinese companies, including huawei and ZTE, for posing a threat to national security.
The companies named include Huawei, ZTE, Hikvision, Dahua Technology and Hinaida. 2019 a law requires the FCC to identify companies that are producing communications equipment and or providing services that pose an unacceptable threat to U.S. national security or the safety of Americans.
The FCC’s statement said the list provides meaningful guidance as the next-generation network is rolled out across the country, ensuring that past mistakes are not made that would jeopardize the national security of the United States or the safety of Americans with the introduction of the apparatus.
