Hordes of zombies attacking people seems to be only the plot of horror movies and not seen in real Life. However, Nostradamus, a 16th century French prophet, predicted that Russian scientists would create a terrible virus this year that would turn humans into zombies. Interestingly, years earlier, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had developed emergency measures to guide people on how to survive such a catastrophe.
The rise of zombies in popular Culture has led people to believe that it could happen that zombies are roaming the streets everywhere and attacking people. And such ideas have caused people to think about how they should prevent such situations from happening in general.
In response, the Center recommends that people prepare a life-saving kit that includes.
● Water – one gallon per person per day.
Food – food that is commonly eaten and not perishable.
Medicine – both prescription and over-the-counter.
Tools and supplies – knives, cloth tape, battery-operated radios, etc.
Hygiene products – soap, towels, etc.
Clothing and bedding – changeable clothes and blankets, etc.
Important documents – copies of your driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, etc.
● First aid kit – although you may not be saved when you are bitten by a zombie, these supplies can be used to bandage general wounds in other natural disasters.
The center concludes by suggesting that people should develop a Family emergency plan so that family members know what to do in the event of a disaster.
This plan includes identifying what kind of disaster might occur in your area, evacuation routes in the event of a disaster, emergency contacts and a place for family rendezvous. Two rendezvous locations should be selected, one right outside the house and another farther away in the immediate area so that you or your family cannot return Home immediately in the event of a disaster.
