Cruz comments on Biden’s tenure: far-left policies plus boring administration

Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) recently gave an interview to Breitbart News from his office in Washington, D.C., during which he used three words to describe his impression of Biden‘s tenure: “boring but radical.

During the interview, Cruz addressed key issues such as Biden’s policy on the Chinese Communist Party, immigration, fake media and Texas voters’ concerns about the Democratic Party’s administration. It was one of the few in-depth interviews Cruz has given since Jan. 20.

Cruz had no problem criticizing Biden’s nominations of multiple cabinet picks, saying he was one of the Republican senators most opposed to those nominations, and that Cruz voted against eleven of the thirteen nominees who have been confirmed.

For example, he said, Biden nominated “Linda Thomas Greenfield to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, but she gave a public speech at a U.S. Confucius Institute in 2019 with a pro-China (Chinese Communist Party) bias.

Then, Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo was confirmed as commerce secretary, but Cruz warned that Raimondo, in his view, would have difficulty staying tough in confronting the Communist Party, and she declined to say whether she would take huawei, a company controlled by the Communist Party, off the export blacklist.

Cruz said, “So far, we’ve seen nominees in the Biden Administration reduce the pressure they put on the Chinese Communist Party. It seems to have become a practice with their nominations that the Biden administration is deliberately pandering to the Chinese (Communist) Party.”

Cruz criticized Biden’s policy of “disregarding rules and having no standards,” and noted that Biden has created a huge public safety hazard for several southern border states by allowing illegal immigrants to flood the U.S.-Mexico border, and that the influx of refugees is being let in without being individually tested for viruses.

Biden has destroyed small businesses, put people out of work, broken families, and he’s telling kids they can’t go back to school,” he said. But what is his attitude toward illegal immigrants? He lets them all in, he lets them in without testing them for the virus.”

Turning to Texas’ current strategy for dealing with the Chinese Communist virus, Cruz agreed with the Texas governor’s policy of fully opening businesses and repealing mandatory mask orders, among other things.

“It’s those policies that shut down businesses and schools that don’t make sense, that are destroying the conditions for people to survive. Those Democratic-dominated states or cities that have closed churches but allow people to protest in the streets without masks? Crowds of protesters shouting at people in close quarters, which Democrats say doesn’t spread the virus, while people going to church to pray becomes a public health hazard?” , he denounced.

Cruz also said that the Biden administration is actually in cahoots with the so-called “mainstream media”: “The Democrats and the fake news media have lost their minds. Even if I stole a U.S. nuclear weapon and put it in China, the media wouldn’t care because they’d be more concerned about whether I took my Family on vacation to Cancun.”

On the nomination of the secretary of health, Cruz said, “I can’t believe his nominee is Xavier Becerra, the attorney general of California. He is not a medical doctor, has no health or medical experience, and has no scientific or pharmacological background. We are at a critical juncture in the administration of vaccines, and this nominee has no meaningful experience in health care, public health, mass logistics, or any other important area to address the current challenges, and Republicans would be laughed at if they nominated such a person to be health secretary. But why did Biden pick him? Because Becerra is extremely radical on immigration, abortion, etc.”

“The Democrats always say that they want to ‘talk science.’ So in an area where science is extremely important, why aren’t the Democrats talking about science anymore? It seems to me that in the six weeks since Biden took office, they’ve just been pushing far-left policies,” he said.
