Pompeo: continue to advance the (governing) philosophy that I have worked side by side with President Trump for four years – Responding to the Chinese Communist Party’s personal attacks on Pompeo: for hitting it where it hurts

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaks at the National Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida, Feb. 27, 2021.

In a recent interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed his goals for 2024 and his response to the Chinese Communist Party‘s personal attacks on him and threats against him and his Family.

Since Pompeo’s appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in late February, he has been repeatedly pressed by the media on whether he is considering a 2024 presidential run.

Pompeo first told Fox host Sean Hannity that he was ready to fight. This was seen by outsiders as a sign that he was ready to run for president in 2024.

When he was pressed again by Hewitt, Pompeo politely said the answer he could give remained the same as before.

“Anyone who has met me and my wife Susan over the last 10 years, and anyone who has seen me when I served as a soldier, knows that I love America deeply and I want to do my best to give back to the country that has done so much for me. So for the next two years, I’m going to work very hard to continue to come up with the right ideas for America and help get candidates elected in 2022 (midterm elections). And then in the months and years to come, we’ll get to see what Life looks like in 2024.” He said.

Hewitt teased that if the next president of the United States were to be elected based on who the Chinese Communist Party disliked the most, Pompeo would be a distant second because every Time Pompeo showed up and said something, the Chinese Communist Party would find a point to attack him.

Pompeo replied, “I have seen the Chinese Communist Party attack me personally, and they have sanctioned me and my family.”

However, the CCP’s approach didn’t work for Pompeo at all. He said, “You know, I think it’s a sign of weakness (to physically attack foreign officials). When (foreign) leaders are prepared to fight back against boycotting them, there’s not a lot they can do about it other than go it alone and attack individuals.”

Pompeo added that when Western government officials hit the Chinese Communist Party where it hurts, for example: by pointing out their poor governance of the Wuhan virus and the danger it poses to the United States and the world, by pointing out that they are holding millions of Uighur Muslims in detention camps and forcing sterilization, the Communist Party reacts.

“I think when the leaders talk about these topics, you can see the CCP reacting (by attacking), and then you know when they feel weak, that is, when you really hit one of its key points.” He said.

Since Pompeo was tight-lipped, the moderator had to stop and ask the next question instead – does he personally expect President Biden to lead the Democratic Party in the November 2024 election? Meaning, will Biden seek re-election in 2024.

Pompeo replied, “I’ll have to leave that question to the Democrats, they’ll decide who their leader is. And I will be very focused on making sure that the conservative movement as well as continuing to advance the ideas (of governing) that I’ve worked alongside President Trump (Trump) for four years.”
