India’s Defense Minister Sripad Naik said that 42,800 soldiers have been infected by the Chinese Communist virus in India.
In a written reply to a question from the Upper House of Parliament, Naik noted, “The number of CCP pneumonia patients in the Indian Army is 32,690 and the death rate today is 0.24 percent.”
He stressed that 6,554 and 3,604 cases of CCP pneumonia were detected in the Indian Air Force and Navy, respectively. He added, “The mortality rates are 0.39% and 0.05%, respectively.”
India became the country with the second highest cumulative number of confirmed cases worldwide. The cumulative number of confirmed cases of CCP pneumonia in the country is 11.2 million. 10.8 million people have recovered, about 188,000 people are continuing to receive treatment, and the CCP virus and concurrent certificates have claimed more than 157,000 lives.
