Vaccination in Korea: 4851 cases of adverse reactions, 11 cases of death

Among the new cases of adverse reactions yesterday, there were 10 cases of severe allergic reactions, 924 cases of mild symptoms such as headache, fever, nausea and vomiting, and two deaths, the cause of death of which has not been confirmed in connection with the vaccine.

South Korea has accumulated 11 cases of post-vaccination deaths following the implementation of vaccination. The Epidemic prevention authorities said on the 8th that experts initially determined that the cause of death in 8 cases was not related to the vaccine, while the remaining 3 cases are still under investigation.

South Korea has vaccinated 383,346 people since the vaccination began on February 26, and has reported 4,851 cumulative cases of adverse reactions, most of which are minor symptoms such as headache and fever.

Since the majority of vaccines administered in Korea are AstraZeneca’s AZ vaccine, 4,821 people received AZ vaccine, accounting for 99.4% of the total number of cases of adverse reactions, while only 30 people had adverse reactions after receiving Pfizer vaccine.

After the outbreak in some local manufacturing plants in Korea, the Korean government immediately inventoried 12,000 workplaces with foreign workers, and about 85,000 foreign workers in Gyeonggi Province were to be tested in order within the next two weeks.
