A few days ago, the party media claimed that “rule by law” topped the list of buzzwords at this year’s two sessions, saying that this “shows that the initiatives to build the rule of law in the past year have been deeply rooted in people’s hearts. This statement pushes the CCP’s lies to a new “height”. For all to see, the Chinese Communist Party‘s trampling on the rule of law has intensified and become unchecked over the past year.
Fang Bin and Zhang Zhan were illegally arrested for disclosing the truth about the Epidemic
If the Chinese Communist Party wants to talk about the “rule of law,” it should immediately release citizen journalists Fang Bin and Zhang Zhan.
After the outbreak last year, Wuhan resident Fang Bin went to a number of local hospitals on Feb. 1 to film the actual situation, including a video of eight bodies being removed from Wuhan No. 5 Hospital in five minutes, causing a sensation at Home and abroad.
According to informants: Fang Bin’s Family has repeatedly to the local police station repeatedly looking for people, the police once perfunctory, but also told them to stop looking, and wait for the U.S. election is over. Some sources say that Fang Bin is being held in Wuchang prison.
Fang Bin has said on his personal YouTube channel that the cruelty of the virus is far worse than the cruelty of tyranny. He also called for a national revolt against tyranny: “China is the land of the Chinese people, how can the CCP devil be allowed to run rampant here?”
Fang Bin has a very clear and profound understanding of the nature of the CCP. He not only spread the tragic epidemic that the CCP wanted to cover up, but also made a call to overthrow the tyranny, hitting the vitals of the Communist Party. So, the CCP brutally made Fang Bin “disappear” and left his family struggling with pain and anxiety in an attempt to prevent more “Fang Bins” from appearing.
Zhang Zhan, another citizen journalist, traveled to Wuhan on his own initiative last February and posted his own accounts of the epidemic area through online platforms such as WeChat, Twitter, and the oil pipe, such as the crowded corridors of the Medical Union and the empty train stations and stores. More than two months later, Zhang Zhan was arrested.
On Dec. 28 of last year, Zhang was sentenced to four years in prison by Communist authorities for allegedly “picking quarrels and provoking trouble,” with the indictment charging her with “fabricating lies and spreading false information.
As one of the people concerned about the truth of the country, Zhang said, “If we just stay in sadness and do nothing to change this sad reality, then our emotions are cheap.”
For Zhang Zhan, going into the infected areas to film and spread the news is a step to change the reality. How can there be hope for this country if everyone dares to grieve and speak out in anger, and if everyone lets the government spread lies and kill lives with lies?
It is outrageous that the CCP authorities treat these Chinese citizens, who are trying to create hope, as their number one enemy, and shamelessly squander taxpayers’ hard-earned money to destroy them by spreading large pockets of charges such as “picking quarrels and provoking trouble” and “inciting subversion of power”. This is the real product of the Chinese Communist Party’s “rule by law”.
Yu Wensheng was heavily sentenced, and Gao Zhisheng “disappeared” for 3.5 years.
On June 17 last year, Yu Wensheng, a mainland human rights lawyer, was secretly sentenced to four years in prison by the Chinese Communist Party authorities on the charge of “inciting subversion of state power”. Before that, he had been illegally detained for more than 900 days. Yu Wensheng’s wife, Xu Yan, said to foreign media that Yu Wensheng was not guilty and condemned the illegal practices of the Chinese Communist Party, such as secret court sessions and sentencing.
Yu Wensheng has represented Falun Gong practitioners in a number of cases and served as a defense attorney for Wang Quanzhang after his arrest. on January 15, 2018, Yu’s license to practice law was revoked, he was arrested on January 19 and charged with a crime in April.
Yu, a Beijing native, was detained in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, 700 to 800 kilometers away from Beijing, and his family was only able to meet him for the first Time three years later, long before they even knew where he was being held. The Chinese Communist Party’s deliberate efforts to create long-distance separation, deny meetings, and keep people out of sight are cruel, and are intended to torment these good people and make their lives and those of their loved ones miserable. Such a tyrannical government is not worthy to talk about “people first”, “people-oriented” and “rule by law”.
When it comes to the treatment of mainland human rights lawyers, we should not forget the “disappeared” lawyer Gao Zhisheng, who has been “disappeared” for three and a half years. Mr. Gao was committed to defending the rights of Falun Gong practitioners, Christians, and the underprivileged, courageously exposing the CCP’s evil system, and publicly declaring his withdrawal from the CCP and calling on the Chinese people to resign from the Party. His courage and influence are very frightening to the CCP.
It is worth noting that both attorneys Yu Wensheng and Gao Zhisheng have actively defended the rights of Falun Gong practitioners and publicly condemned the CCP’s illegal persecution of Falun Gong, and Gao Zhisheng has supported investigations into the CCP’s live organ harvesting. These two righteous people have touched the CCP’s biggest no-go area (Falun Gong), and this incident involves the crime of torture and mass extermination of a large number of officials and personnel in the “610” and Political and Legal Committee systems. Therefore, the Chinese Communist authorities are doing everything they can to silence these righteous lawyers in order to cover up the most important human rights crimes committed by their party and to avoid liquidation.
Hong Kong‘s Democrats Are Being Harshly Repressed
For more than a year, the Chinese Communist authorities have been severely suppressing democratic struggles in Hong Kong, first by manipulating the police to brutalize anti-China activists, and then by introducing the “Hong Kong Regional State Security Law”, a law on the rule of terror, which undermines the framework of the rule of law in Hong Kong under the Basic Law.
In January, the Hong Kong government arrested 55 pro-democracy activists who participated in last July’s primary election, and detained 47 of them on Feb. 28. On March 4, the Department of Justice filed a review of the decision to grant bail to 15 people, meaning that all will remain in custody.
On March 5, the Chinese Communist Party’s National People’s Congress opened, announcing that it would reform Hong Kong’s electoral system to ensure that “patriots rule Hong Kong. In fact, in the name of “reform,” the Chinese Communist Party wants to break up the original election space, where some freedoms still exist, and replace it with the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, where “those who love the party rule Hong Kong. As you can imagine, the Chinese Communist Party will have no qualms about wielding the stick against the people of Hong Kong, because it is the one who makes the laws.
Why is the Chinese Communist Party so harsh on Hong Kong? Because Hong Kong is the window of freedom to the mainland and the benchmark for the outside world to measure the practice of “one country, two systems”. When two million Hong Kong people said “no” to the “Send China Ordinance,” the world heard the cries of resistance and solidarity. The U.S. government passed the Hong Kong Bill of Rights and Democracy, the Trump administration revoked Hong Kong’s special status, and the pan-democrats overtook the pro-Beijing establishment. The Chinese Communist Party is emboldened; it cannot tolerate the fires of freedom in Hong Kong shaking the mainland.
Since its establishment, the Communist Party has never really listened to the voices of the people. It has always used tyranny to suppress normal questioning and just resistance. If anyone is still skeptical about this, the dramatic turn of events in Hong Kong should make everyone give up their illusions about the CCP.
Conclusion
In the guise of the rule of law, the Chinese Communist Party ignores the law and does whatever it wants. The charges for persecuting good people range from ill-defined “pocket crimes” to blatant slanders that contradict the facts. The CCP adds and removes articles and interprets laws and regulations at will; in short, if they say you have committed a crime, you have committed a crime. Illegal arrests, illegal court hearings, and illegal sentences. All these unlawful actions are carried out under the banner of law and fairness, but the essence is that “those who obey me will prosper and those who disobey me will perish”, which is contrary to universal values such as human rights and justice.
Many names of those persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party have been written down in the past year, how many more cases of injustice remain unknown? The international community should not verbally criticize the CCP and secretly befriend it. A practical step to defend human rights in China is to reject the CCP’s lies, cut off the channels of the CCP’s big foreign propaganda, destroy the firewall of the CCP’s network, and help the Chinese people to get the truth.
