The U.S. military said that the Chinese Communist Party Figure 5 years to dominate the Indo-Pacific military advantage, worried about Taiwan’s situation in the next six years

Philip Davidson, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, said the Chinese Communist Party is trying to gain military supremacy in the Indo-Pacific region by 2026, warning that if it changes the status quo in the South China Sea and the Diaoyu Islands, it will be permanent.

Speaking at an online conference, Davidson said the most dangerous situation for the Indo-Pacific region is that the U.S. and its allies are losing deterrence to the Chinese Communist Party, and that he believes it is imperative to strengthen deterrence with allies, stressing the need for the Chinese Communist Party to clearly understand that the cost of exercising military power is too high.

Davidson also stressed that the U.S. needs to show its allies that the U.S. military will hold on to U.S. Guam, and that strengthening missile defense capabilities in the region is a top priority. He hopes to complete the deployment of a land-based defense system there by the end of 2026, and he earlier submitted a report to Congress requesting an additional military budget increase of about $27 billion to the Indo-Pacific Command between 2022 and 2027.

In addition, Davidson also talked about the Taiwan issue, saying that the Chinese Communist People’s Liberation Army warplanes and ships have recently approached Taiwan several times, and even entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone, he is worried about the situation in Taiwan in the next six years and beyond, and believes that the United States should continue to sell arms to Taiwan.
