He said, “I’m confident that commercial negotiations between traditional media and digital platforms will also take place in New Zealand, and I’m quite encouraged by that.”

Facebook and Google reached an agreement with Australia, agreeing to pay Australian news organizations to avoid being subject to harsh mandatory bargaining rules.
