Japanese tycoon Tomosaku Maezawa has already made a high-profile announcement that he will go to the moon aboard the SpaceX spacecraft, and now he’s inviting eight people of any background to travel with him, all paid for by him.
The company’s newest addition to the company’s portfolio is a new product that will be available for purchase in the marketplace. He also mentioned that he would cover the full cost, meaning that those selected would go to the moon for free, “I bought all the seats, so it’s a private trip.”
Applicants need to meet two criteria, namely “promoting any kind of activity that can help others and make society better” and “willingness to support other team members who share the same ambition.”
Tomosaku Maezawa originally wanted to invite “artists” to participate in his space trip, but he later changed his mind because he “wanted to provide the opportunity for everyone to join the journey” and “if you feel like an artist, then you are. Then you are.”
