Trump delivered his first major speech after leaving office on Feb. 28, suggesting he might throw himself into the 2024 presidential election. The conservative political action conference poll shows that his base is still strong, with nearly 7 out of 10 people supporting him to run again.
The comprehensive media reports that Trump said in his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida on the 28th, “We The proud, hard-working American patriotic action is just getting started, and in the end we will win, we will win”.
In his speech that day, Trump again suggested that he lost re-election because of election fraud, saying, “You actually know very well that they [the Democrats] simply lost the White House.”
He also hinted that he might put himself into the 2024 presidential election, saying, “I might decide to beat them (Democrats) for the 3rd Time.”
Trump appeared at the conservative political action meeting on the 28th, winning a warm welcome from the people on the scene, such as thunderous applause for a long time. Trump said: “We’re on this incredible journey together…we’re not even close to the finish line. We’re going to win.”
Before his speech, a poll conducted by the convention showed that 68 percent of respondents supported Trump’s re-election as president, while 32 percent opposed or did not express an opinion.
