U.S. Congressman: Holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable is my top priority in Congress

U.S. Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.), Republican.

“Holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable is a top priority for me in Congress.” U.S. Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) said at a seminar on live organ harvesting by the Chinese Communist Party.

On February 24, U.S. Congressman Greg Steube was unable to attend a seminar on live organ harvesting in Washington, D.C., organized by 117 organizations, including the International Ending Transplant Abuse in China Coalition (ETAC) and the Communist Victims Foundation. Congressman Greg Steube (D-CA) was unable to attend the event in person, but submitted his written statement.

In his written statement, Congressman Steube said, “The Chinese Communist Party is the world’s greatest violator of human rights, and forced organ harvesting is just one example of the serious crimes they commit.”

In March 2020, the Independent People’s Tribunal (also known as: “China Tribunal”) in London, England, issued its final written verdict, which made the following findings.

“(Live) forced organ harvesting has been occurring on a large scale throughout China for many years, with Falun Gong practitioners being one – and probably the primary – source of human organs.”

“The concentrated persecution and medical examinations of Uighurs are relatively recent.”

Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, the British barrister who presided over this court decision, also attended a Communist Party seminar on live organ harvesting held on February 24, 2021.

Congressman Stoib said that the CCP not only persecutes the Chinese population, but poses a huge threat to U.S. national security.

He said, “In 2018, the U.S. State Department released a country-specific human rights report that highlighted the CCP’s involvement in the most serious human rights abuses in addition to overtly spying on its citizens.”

On April 20, 2018, the U.S. State Department released the 2017 Country Reports on Human Rights. The report includes information on the suppression of human rights lawyers, Tibetans, Uighurs, Christians, and other groups, in addition to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, who have been blocked by the CCP for a long Time, among others.

The human rights report documents the Chinese government’s overall suppression and violation of people’s basic human rights over the past year. The report concludes that Falun Gong practitioners suffer more persecution by comparison, “Falun Gong practitioners are reported to be systematically tortured more frequently than other groups.”

Rep. Stoib said, “The CCP’s concentration camps in Xinjiang hold more than 1 million Uighur Muslim believers.” He said Uighurs are subjected to forced organ harvesting.

“A few months ago, the director of national intelligence said the Chinese Communist Party is the number one threat to (U.S.) national security.”

During his last term in Congress, Rep. Stoib sponsored a resolution condemning the United Nations for granting the Chinese Communist Party a seat on the Human Rights Council and calling for UN reform.

Rep. Stoib also said that the CCP infiltrated U.S. universities and stole research results; engaged in espionage; and lied to the world about the Wuhan virus (CCP virus) ……

“If the Chinese Communist Party had been transparent about the Covid-19 virus, then thousands of lives in the United States, millions of lives around the world, could have been saved.”

“I will continue to use my position in Congress and as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee to stay strong with the CCP and hold the CCP accountable for its actions.”
