American Airlines pilots say UFOs flew overhead FBI response

The U.S. government has long conducted research on UFOs flying over military bases in the country. The U.S. Department of Defense released three videos of proven observations in April 2020.

American Airlines confirmed that one of its pilots reported on Sunday (Feb. 21) that the flight had an unscheduled encounter with an unidentified flying object (UFO) while en route from Cincinnati to Phoenix. However, the company directed further inquiries about it to the FBI.

“After debriefing the flight crew, we received additional information. We can confirm that the radio signal (reporting a UFO sighting) came from American Airlines Flight 2292 on Feb. 21.” In a statement, an American Airlines spokesman said, “If there are any other questions about this, we encourage you to contact the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation).”

Fox News learned Thursday (Feb. 25) that the FBI learned that the American Airlines pilot had a clear view of a UFO flying overhead as he traveled over northeastern New Mexico. However, the FBI did not say whether it was conducting an investigation on the matter.

According to radio signals recorded by Steve Douglass on his blog Deep Black Horizon, the pilot was flying a flight from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday afternoon when the crew witnessed an unusual object flying rapidly above them.

A spokesman for the FBI’s Albuquerque office responded to Fox News’ request for comment and confirmation Thursday.

“The FBI has been informed of the reported incident.” Spokesman Frank Connor wrote in an email, “While it is our policy to neither confirm nor deny the investigation, the FBI continually works with our federal, state, local and tribal partners to share intelligence and protect the public. All persons aware of suspicious or criminal activity should contact their local law enforcement agency or the FBI.”

In a radio transmission last Sunday, the American Airlines pilot can first be heard asking an unidentified person, presumably from air traffic control, if he noticed “any targets above” the aircraft.

“We just (saw) something flying over our heads.” The pilot said, “I hate to say this, but (I have to admit) it looked like a long cylindrical object that looked almost like a cruise missile and was moving very fast. It passed right over us.”

While 2019 is said to be either the most important year for UFO reporting, 2020 may be the year that most satisfies the curiosity of extraterrestrial fans.

In April 2020, the Pentagon released three original video files confirming the capture of UFOs by Navy aircraft that had been circulating among the public for years.
