Two children arrive in England unaccompanied by parents seeking asylum

The Chinese Communist regime’s push for a “Hong Kong state security law” in Hong Kong has led to a significant increase in the number of Hong Kong people seeking political asylum in the United Kingdom. The British Home Office announced Thursday (25) the figures of Hong Kong people applying for asylum in the fourth quarter of 2020, a total of 21 Hong Kong people sought political asylum in the UK between October and December last year, including two unaccompanied children who applied for asylum, which is since 2007, the UK again encountered such applications.

According to Home Office figures, a total of 21 people applied for political asylum in the UK in the fourth quarter of 2020, of which 19 were the main applicants and two were Family members of the applicants; eight people applied for asylum after arriving at UK airports and 13 people applied after entering the UK. As for gender and age, there are 13 men and 8 women among the asylum seekers, 3 are under 18 years old, 16 are between 18 and 29 years old, and 2 are between 50 and 69 years old.
