Russian scientific academician: now the world is not warming but cooling

Scientists believe that during the long period of geological history, the Earth has undergone several geomagnetic pole reversals. The great north-south reversal instantly froze ancient animals.

In recent decades, global warming has become a pressing topic closely related to the environment. For his part, oceanographer Martisov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and scientific director of the South Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, believes that the globe is not warming but cooling. He also believes that the Earth’s climate is cyclical and that the warming cycle has now ended and is entering a cooling cycle.

Scientific conclusions from nearly 60 years of fieldwork

Gennady Matysov (Геннадий Матишов) said in an interview with the Russian newspaper (Российскаягазета) on Tuesday (February 23) that it is not global warming but the Little Ice Age that awaits mankind.

Matysov said he has been in the Arctic expedition since 1965 and there is no such thing as global warming. If the global warming theory is correct, then the ice in the Arctic would have melted long ago.

Martisov added that Arctic temperatures have indeed risen slightly recently, and that is why some people believe that the global climate is warming. He noted that “to understand climate (change) trends, you need to analyze at least a hundred years of data, not just focus on the events of the last year or two.”

According to Martisov, the warm cycle, in which Arctic temperatures were on the rise, has ended and the climate has shifted to a cold cycle.

“In the last 15 years, Taganrog Bay (Таганрогскийзалив) has been covered with ice for an average of 54 days a year. For the southern region, 54 days covered with snow is too long a period, which is closer to a colder climate”, said Matysov.

Climate change is cyclical

The climate is cyclical, and humans are becoming witnesses to the beginning of a new ice age, Matysov said.

In arguing that the Earth’s climate is cyclical, he cited two historical events.

In 1878, Swedish naval captain Louis Penrandl, a Finnish national, led an international expedition of 30 men, including Russian, Danish and Italian naval personnel, on four ships, including the “Vega” (“Вега”), to cross the entire Arctic route in winter. The expedition crossed the entire Arctic route. They didn’t say that the Earth was warming, either,” Matthysov said.

In 1933, the Soviet expedition crossed the entire Arctic route on the ship Chelyuskin (Челюскин), which was not fully capable of breaking ice, and crossed Kola Bay, which is located inside the Arctic Circle.

It is worth mentioning that the Chelyuskin finished the expedition intact.

The above events show that the Arctic was in the same warm cycle in 1878 and 1933. Academician Martisov asked mockingly: “Is our memory really so short?

According to Martisov, “We are heading toward a little ice age, but it will come in a few thousand years. This change is not perceptible in human Life ……”

He said that cold winters, droughts, occurrence of fires in the European part of Russia, as well as heavy precipitation, etc., corroborate that a new period of life on our planet is coming – a period of global cooling. He noted that last year’s unusually warm winter in central Russia did not indicate warming, because at that Time it was very cold in North America and there was snowfall in the Middle East.

Antarctica’s ice sheet contains 92 percent of all ice on land, according to Matysov. “If this cold kingdom starts to really melt, then we can talk about unforeseen warming, that the water level in the world’s oceans will rise by 60 meters, etc.” However, he then pointed out that the Antarctic is a very stable system, the reasons for which remain to be seen, but stability is a fact. Therefore, the claim of global flooding due to the Earth’s warming is really not worth talking about.
