British Prime Minister Boris Johnson today announced to Parliament the lifting of the four-phase closure plan for England, people can meet outdoors from March 29, but stores, hair salons and gyms, etc., must wait until April 12 to resume operations.
The BBC reported that Johnson (Boris Johnson) issued a statement to Congress this afternoon announcing the gradual lifting of England’s third and hopefully final blockade.
Johnson said the first phase of the lifting of the embargo is in March. The first is that all schools will resume classes on March 8, and also allow 2 people from different families to meet outdoors. In addition, from March 29, up to six people, or two families, will be allowed to meet outdoors, and outdoor sports such as golf and tennis will also be lifted on March 29.
In the second phase in April, non-essential retail stores, hair salons, gyms and outdoor dining establishments, as well as libraries, museums, zoos, theme parks, etc., will resume operations from April 12. However, different families are still prohibited from gathering indoors. Funerals are limited to a maximum of 30 participants, and weddings are capped at 15 guests.
In the third phase, on May 17, the maximum number of 6 people for outdoor rendezvous will be expanded to 30, 2 families will be able to gather indoors, cinemas and hotels will resume operations, and sporting events will resume and a maximum of 10,000 spectators will be allowed to watch sporting events in open spaces such as soccer stadiums. Funerals, weddings and banquets will all be limited to 30 participants.
The final fourth phase is June 21, when it is hoped that the restrictions on maintaining social distance will be lifted, all business locations will resume operations, and the restrictions on the number of people attending weddings and funerals will be lifted.
Johnson & Johnson said all phases of the lifting decision will be “based on data, not dates. The gradual lifting of the ban will take place on schedule, but four conditions need to be met: first, vaccinations must be administered as planned; second, there must be evidence that vaccination reduces mortality or hospitalization rates; third, infection rates will not cause hospitalization rates to rise; and fourth, new variants of the virus will not jeopardize the roadmap for lifting the ban.
Johnson & Johnson also warned that there is no path to a “virus-free UK or virus-free world.
The United Kingdom is one of the countries most affected by the 2019 coronavirus disease (Chinese Communist Party, COVID-19) outbreak, with more than 120,000 deaths from the disease. The outbreak began to heat up rapidly last December, and England was closed for the third Time on January 5 of this year.
