A U.S. military base in Balad, north of Baghdad, Iraq, was hit by four more rockets on Feb. 20, injuring an Iraqi contractor.
The Iraqi military said the four rockets hit the Balad base, where U.S. military personnel are stationed. Iraqi security officials originally alleged that three rockets hit the base and told Reuters that the injured contractor’s Life was not in danger.
This is the second Time in a week that the U.S. military base has been hit by a series of rocket attacks, and no group has immediately come forward to claim the attack.
Reuters previously reported that a rocket attack on an air base in the Kurdistan region of Iraq late on the 15th killed a foreign contractor and wounded six others, including a U.S. soldier.
