The two sessions of the Chinese Communist Party will be held in early March, and all regions have begun to control the petitioners’ visits as if they were enemies. Today (Feb. 20), the number of petitioners at the State Bureau of Letters and Visits and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in Beijing was considerably less than the previous two days, but there were many people outside to intercept petitions. Some petitioners said, “(The petitioners) may all be controlled locally.”

On the morning of the 20th, Heilongjiang petitioner Ma Bo and Hebei Zhao Chunhong petitioned together at the State Bureau of Letters and Calls and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. Ma Bo told reporters, “There are not many people in Sanche Hutong (Beijing State Bureau of Letters and Visits) today, they have all gone Home and been locked up to solve their problems.”

Gu Guoping abducted by police surveillance in Changning District

According to information provided by SkyNet citizen reporter Wang Jing, at around 1 p.m. today, Gu Guoping, a petitioner in Shanghai’s Changning District, was taken away by a police car near his residence, during which he passed the video to Wang Jing, who is overseas. Gu Guoping said in the video, “the criminal detention list has been issued, they took away my two cell phones, said to find evidence, let them find a good, I have nothing, they do not need a reason to arrest people ……”

Gu Guoping in the police car tapped the last screen very briefly, then Wang Jing called his cell phone has no one answered. Wang Jing said, “I wonder how long he will be detained this Time? He is now suffering from severe diabetes, about half a month ago just released from the hospital, before the Shanghai police broke four ribs are still painful, and now to be lost freedom, this is with the disease detention?”

The downstairs of Gu Guoping’s home was already under surveillance, and on the 18th he managed to evade the surveillance guarding the downstairs and arrived in Beijing, only to rush back to his home in Shanghai because of a diabetic attack. Unexpectedly the district police immediately came after him, saying that he would be sent to a resort (black prison) for a month.

At that time, Mr. and Mrs. Gu Guoping and the police went through some arguments and held the police responsible for the consequences of their diabetic attack, so the police withdrew temporarily and said they would come back tomorrow. As a result, the police really came back today to keep watch downstairs, and Gu Guoping came downstairs at 1:05 p.m. and was immediately taken away.

Ding Shuiping was placed under house arrest before New Year’s Eve in Pudong New Area

In addition, Ding Shui-ping, a petitioner in Pudong New Area, sent out a plea for help in a rights group, saying that under the joint efforts of the Beicai town government and the secretary of the neighborhood committee, Huang Chunyan, more than a dozen triad members and two vans have been parked in front of her house since the afternoon of February 9, and the triad members have been sitting at the door with stools day and night, making it impossible for the Family to live and work normally, and seriously affecting the lives of the surrounding neighbors.

Ding Shuiping is a farmer in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Her two houses in Beicai Town were demolished in October 2013, and another house in Huamu Street was demolished on October 16 this year, but she did not receive any compensation or resettlement.

She has been detained several times without any formalities, and has been put in black hoods and prisons numerous times, suffering all kinds of oppression and torture.

Ding Shuiping stressed, “Beicai Township Government and Zhendong neighborhood committee director Huang Chunyan, illegal violation of citizens’ personal freedom and property rights, must bear the legal responsibility!”
