Chinese Communist Party’s ideological bankruptcy pushes revival of traditional culture to put on a facade

Since the Chinese Communist Party came to power, it has systematically destroyed traditional Chinese Culture and established its party culture. Now, the Communist Party’s authorities have suddenly reintroduced the idea of “reviving traditional culture,” raising concerns that the Communist Party’s ideology is incompatible with traditional culture. The Chinese Communist Party is now “sick and seeking a cure” and wants to use traditional culture to decorate its facade, but it is doomed to failure.

Mainland media: The CCP is taking the opportunity to promote party culture

On Feb. 14, a mainland Chinese Communist Party website launched an article titled “Major State Policy of the CPC Central Committee and State Council: Comprehensive Revival of Traditional Culture by 2025,” reintroducing the 2017 document “Opinions on Implementing the Project of Inheritance and Development of Excellent Chinese Traditional Culture,” which requires all CPC branches to support traditional culture, claiming that the CPC “to fully revive traditional culture by 2025.” The CCP also called for the implementation of the so-called “Chinese Traditional Festivals Revitalization Project,” among others. The CCP’s series of actions have been accused of repairing the facade and destroying the substance, which is also the CCP’s strategy to confuse people.

Wu Te, an independent media commentator on the mainland, said that the CCP’s purpose is not to revive traditional culture, but to “promote party culture under the guise of reviving traditional culture.

Wu told reporters on Feb. 16 that communism is bankrupt and attracts few followers, and that the Communist Party is facing a crisis of legitimacy as the mainland economy has stagnated over the years, so the Communist Party has begun to “think in terms of nationalism and traditional culture.

He said, “If the CCP really cared about preserving traditional culture, it would not be harassing Shen Yun performances overseas, nor would it be suppressing traditional religious beliefs such as Buddhism and Taoism at Home.”

CCP has no legitimacy to govern

The CCP’s move, Wuette said, is an attempt to find a solution to the crisis of regime legitimacy in it. There are generally four types of legitimacy: first, traditional (traditional imperial system, divine right of kings); second, people’s mandate (democratic elections); third, performance (economic growth, typical of Tunisia’s “bread contract” and South Korea’s military regime); and fourth, ideology (ruling for a certain political philosophy, such as communism, Nazism, Sanminism). Nazism, and the Three Principles of the People).

According to Wout, the fourth way was the fourth way when the Chinese Communist Party started to rule, and the third way after the 1970s. Now that both of these ways have failed, it has started to look inside the first way. But since the CCP, as a party, is itself at odds with traditional Chinese culture, not to mention respecting heaven and loving the people, its attempts are sure to fail.

Communism is at odds with traditional Chinese culture

Internet Writer Jing Chu said that this shows that communism is completely bankrupt and the CCP can’t hold on anymore, so the CCP tries to use various ways to maintain its power, and it wants to find what it calls “ideological resources with Chinese characteristics” from traditional culture.

He analyzed that communism is incompatible with traditional Chinese culture. Confucianism talks about “benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith,” which are the basic ethical rules of human beings, while the CCP talks about “the joy of fighting with heaven, the joy of fighting with earth and the joy of fighting with people.

The Chinese Communist Party has no credibility and does not talk about international rules. “Benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trust, the Chinese Communist Party cannot do anything at all, it is just a fool’s dream and another international joke.”

Jing Chu said that the Chinese Communist Party has created “Chinese characteristics” which are against all the bottom line of human beings and trampled on all the rules of human civilization. The Chinese Communist Party has also attached traditional culture to Chinese characteristics, which is a very absurd thing. The Chinese Communist Party also declared that it would “revive traditional culture by 2025”, which is something the world would laugh at.

In his opinion, the CCP regime is now in danger, “so they are in a hurry, and they are throwing themselves at the problem, and they are doing such absurd things to fool the people”.

The Chinese Communist Party doesn’t know what traditional culture is

Mr. Wang (a pseudonym), an Education researcher on the mainland, told the Epoch Times that after the communist ideology slowly became suspect, the Chinese Communist authorities considered using traditional culture to fool the people. But communist ideology is certainly inconsistent and in conflict with traditional culture. Moreover, traditional culture has the ruling arts of Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and Legalism, all of which are very important parts of traditional culture.

“So how exactly does it go about reviving? Is it a full revival back to the ancient times, when was the ancient times? Is it the Time of Qin Shi Huang or the Tang Dynasty or the Song Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, are completely different. Each dynasty is different, and the focus is different. So I didn’t take this thing seriously after reading it.” Mr. Wang said.

Chinese Communist Party most hostile to traditional culture

Speaking to Radio Free Asia, Hu Ping, editor-in-chief emeritus of Beijing Spring, said the Communist Party originally started by opposing traditional culture. The Communist Party, a political group, is the most hostile and negative political group to traditional Chinese culture in modern Chinese history. Like the Confucius Temple, successive dynasties that even foreign invasion did not damage, the only result was in the cultural revolution when the Confucius Temple was smashed.

“So it’s a huge irony that the Communist Party is now playing such a role of inheriting and promoting traditional culture.” Hu Ping said.

He said that after the bankruptcy of communist ideology, the Communist Party urgently needs to change the face of its past ideology, so it claims to “revive Chinese cultural traditions.

In his view, the CCP is just a slogan, using the “symbols” of traditional Chinese culture to decorate the facade, but in reality, it has castrated the most valuable soul and essence of traditional Chinese culture. As we all know, the CCP has recently been restoring traditional Buddhist and Taoist temples, but in reality, it has been controlling and suppressing traditional religious activities more severely, not really respecting religious freedom.
